Académie des Exercices
Visible from the outside only.
In 1607, Henri de la Tour d'Auvergne founded the Academy of Exercises. About 80 Huguenots trained there in the handling of arms and the art of war. This Academy will be closed in 1685 by Louis XIV. In 1629, the Lambermont mansion was added to the buildings of the Academy. In 1688, the Academy of Exercises and the house of Lambermont were bought by Denis Rousseau, a draper. In 1726, the whole became a royal cloth factory.
