Sublime in the winter mist, colorful in the fall, invigorating in the spring and a veritable seaside resort in the summer, le Old Forges lake live all year round. With 150 ha of lake in 1000 ha of forest, the environment is great. Many experiences are offered there for day visitors and long-stay holidaymakers at the Vieilles Forges campsite or elsewhere.
As soon as the weather is nice, imagine yourself in idleness mode on the beach. Smell the smell of the forest, admire the landscape, before entering the postcard by taking a dip. Swimming is supervised all summer. Near, games for children and picnic and catering areas allow you to spend a peaceful day.
Want emotions? Enjoy refreshing nautical experiences from the water sports Old Forges with Cap Ardennes Events and Old Forges Sailing Club. Explore the lake on the water: paddle, waterbike, pedalo, canoe (1 to 9 seats), kayaking, windsurfing, sailing baptism… Unless you prefer dry land? The shores of the lake are a very pleasant place to walk on foot, by mountain bike or electric scooter. A path makes it possible to make the complete tour of the lake (about 12 km).
Sports and recreational activities
When it's summer, sports and fun activities are organized on the beach by the Departmental Council of the Ardennes: table tennis, fencing, beach rugby, beach basketball, etc.. Access is free for all. Sports courses are available on registration for the week. Several leisure and amusement parks are also on site: Tree Climbing park with Ardennes Land of Adventures, nature games in the land of nuts in theElfy Park, Youplaboum Park or Wi-Splash water park.
The Vieilles Forges lake is also a ideal spot for fishing.
