The Great Ardennes Table is a family affair. Indeed, this incredible project was born from a common passion of a father, Didier Villemin, and his daughter, Amandine Migneaux and her husband Jordan, for the flavors of the Ardennes and the desire to introduce them to as many people as possible. .
Genesis of the project
For years, Didier Villemin has been showcasing his charcuterie and salted products (cured ham from the Ardennes, ham nuts, game, bare-bottom cacasses, wild boar filet mignon, sausages with beer, tomme cheese, etc.) via his shop. "With the flavors of the Ardennes" in La Francheville. And at many fairs.
But there is no place, on site, to taste these local flavors...
Thus was born La Grande Tablée ardennaise, designed as a link between table and store.
With the Grande Tablée, we change dimension!
Of the 40 m² of the "Aux Saveurs d'Ardennes" shop, thea Grande Tablée now offers 350 m² for the shop and its catering area.
Henceforth more than 70 local producers are present for lovers of good food and local products. Meat, charcuterie, rotisserie and caterer on the one hand (with bay window overlooking the ham dryers), but also greengrocers, dairy products, cheeses and a wide range of dry products ranging from preserves to flour, fruit juices, biscuits, Océ coffee… And many beers.
The catering area can accommodate 80 people, with quality meat and burgers on the menu, but also traditional recipes such as tripe, bare-assed shit, bacon salad...
A friendly place and a real showcase of Ardennes know-how
A lounge area has been fitted out with a 3,50 x 2,50 m retractable screen for broadcasting major events such as the football or rugby World Cup, but also for concerts.
A bar is also open to have a good time with friends or family.
The ham cellar located opposite the main entrance and the cash desks, with its vault of Ardennes hams and its manual slicer, catches the eye and already awakens gluttony and the taste buds.
Thanks to that Book, consumers of the Grande Tablée will be able to treat themselves by buying the delicious products they have just tasted at the restaurant.
And outside, the car park has been enlarged and a vast terrace has been equipped with a brazier to cook the meat.
Nice atmosphere…
