Installed with his donkeys at Ménil in Vaux-Villaine, Emmanuel Crametz offers a fun experience. A different way to discover the Ardennes with a donkey, on a walk, on an organized hike or on a free hike.

Meeting with the donkeys

Bertin, Marcel, Fernand, Marius, Gaston... with their big donkey ears, are pampered by their master, Emmanuel Crametz. Untreated grass in the summer, organic hay in the winter… and miles to exercise.

These excellent walkers can cover 15 to 20 kilometers a day.

From 3 or 4 years old, the donkey is an excellent relay for carrying luggage and children. Up to 40 kg for a small donkey.

A unique, fun and soothing experience

It is for the soothing beauty of the place and drawing inspiration from his experience as a dad-hiker that this native of Valenciennes came to the Ardennes, to organize donkey rides.

Departures take place in Vaux-Villaine, towards Lalobbe and Signy-l'Abbaye, in a "soft and hilly environment" or in the Meuse valley for a more uneven ride, "towards Old Forges Lake and sometimes until Montcornet Castle ».

A fun experience for the youngest who do not see the kilometers pass.

Tranquility and tranquility guaranteed.

I see it in people's faces when they come home. Even their way of moving is different. Everything changes at the pace of the donkey.

So do not hesitate, try the adventure!

Bertin in Paris!

Emmanuel Crametz tells us about this great adventure!

“For a few years now (2019), one of my donkeys, Bertin, has accompanied a Belgian family on the way to Compostela.

Every summer, for a good week, the whole family (2 adults and their 6 children) stop off on the way to Compostela from Brussels, from place of worship to place of worship.

And this year (2023), it's the great Parisian crossing from 27/07 to 03/08, passing of course by Notre Dame! »

The trip went well for everyone!
