From September 26 to 28, the ADT des Ardennes participated in the professional workshop “France Outdoor & Active Vacation 2023”, organized by Atout France in Scandinavia.

The objective of this promotional action is to highlight the activities outdoor in the Ardennes with Scandinavian tour operators with sustainable tourism and preserved natural areas as common thread.

Since 2023, ADT des Ardennes has been approaching the Danish market. Following a general public action on this market in the spring, a promotion aimed at travel professionals enabled the development of this new Scandinavian clientele for the Ardennes.

The first day of meetings between the Ardennes and Danish tour operators, journalists and bloggers took place on Tuesday September 26. Atout France Scandinavie had requested 14 French partners, selected based on the offer outdoor offered by these destinations. A first for the Ardennes! Around twenty tour operators and around fifteen journalists/bloggers/influencers were there!

Very qualified contacts, looking for cycling, hiking, mountain biking products, but also culture and heritage. A clientele that is both individual, but also in small groups for cycling holidays. This clientele mainly comes by car or plane to Brussels or Luxembourg airports. Only 1 day's drive separates Denmark from the Ardennes. To summarize, a good first contact for the Ardennes with Danish travel professionals.

For 2024, the ADTA has planned to participate in particular in the international exhibition Appointment in France, which will take place on March 26 and 27, 2024 in Toulouse. On this same subject, the ADTA co-organizes educational tours with ART Grand Est and Atout France in order to introduce tour operators, travel agencies and coach operators to the destination. These eductours make it possible to promote the tourist offer of the Ardennes to these travel professionals, with the aim of marketing the Ardennes through foreign tour operators.

Other commercial promotion actions are also developed by the ADTA depending on the possibilities and/or opportunities, such as canvassing coach operators in France and abroad or participation in shows dedicated to works councils.

The main objective for the ADTA is to put travel professionals in contact with tourist service providers in the Ardennes (hotels, campsites, leisure activities, etc.).

In addition, for the marketing of Ardennes tourist providers, there is also the possibility of contacting the tourist offices of the department who have an authorization to market tourist products, namely theCharleville-Sedan tourist office in the Ardennes, Destination South Ardennes et Val d'Ardenne tourism. These local partners make it possible to include your services in the packages offered by the TOs to their customers. A private agency completes this list.
