Description
Departing from Rocroi, a "Small Town of Character" with star-shaped fortifications, you will travel through a wooded landscape, punctuated by isolated farms, and discover the impressive Ardennes forest.

Your itinerary
Step 1:1
With your back to the parking lot, turn left and take the second street on the left. Continue along Rue de la Porte de Bourgogne and take the grassy path on the right called "Sentier des Fortifications." You will reach the Impasse de la Dirme-Lune.
Step 2:2
Turn left, cross the D877 and follow the road opposite. You will reach a junction immediately after crossing the bridge over the motorway.
Step 3:3
Turn left onto a path, then take the first path on the right. Pass the Cense Picart. At the bottom, at number 1, turn left. Further on, cross the road and follow the track leading to the Cense Collardeau. At number 1325, take the path on the right.
Step 4:4
On the hill, take a path on the right, then turn right again, 30 m further on. At the bottom, turn left, follow the path that overlooks the Moulins stream; follow it to a footbridge. Take this footbridge and climb up to a road. Go left for a few meters, then climb right along a wide forest road to the Grosse Pierre path.
Step 5:5
Via a hairpin bend, take this straight path on the right. Continue straight along this long path climbing through a forest of deciduous and coniferous trees, until you reach the fourth crossroads of Quatre Chemins. Go up to the left, then immediately right, 30 m further on. At the bottom of this long path, turn right. At the first crossroads, turn right and follow the path to a barrier.
Step 6:6
Immediately before this, take a small path on the left. Further on, leave the Noizet mill on the right and continue on the path. Cross the Murée stream on a stone bridge and continue on the path to the Convent.
Step 7:7
Turn right, pass the hamlet. At the next fork, take the right lane to stay in the right direction. Pass Petit-Hongréaux and return to the bridge over the motorway.
