The Weimar Stele
Step 1: Departure
Start at the parking lot of the African Hunters Memorial. Head towards the Weimar stele and continue straight ahead until you reach a wood and then a four-way intersection.
Step 2: Route Information
When you reach the intersection, turn left and go down to the farm.
Step 3: Route Information
At the farm, before the village of Illy, go up to the right. At the crossroads, turn left and then at the next crossroads, turn right until you reach the hamlet of Olly.
Step 4: Route Information
Arriving in Olly, go straight ahead to the castle. Go straight up, ignoring the paths to the right and left, until you reach the place called “La Belle Taille” at the top of the hill.
Step 5: Route Information
Take the path on the left. Continue straight ahead on the main path and, after passing through a second gap between two rocks, turn immediately right. When you reach a forest road, turn left.
Step 6: Route Information
Leave the ruins of the Hatrelle fortified house on your right and continue up the path. At the first left-hand bend, take the small path going uphill to the right. At the highest point before the descent to Fleigneux, take the path to the left until you reach a crossroads.
Step 7: Route Information
Upon reaching the intersection, take the path on the right which goes through fields to rejoin the D129.
Step 8: Route Information
Go down the D129 for 40 meters, then take the path going down on the right until you reach the D205.
Step 9: Route Information
Turn right, then turn left into the first street. Go up Rue de la République which runs alongside the Floing cemetery.
Step 10: Route Information
Turn left and take the Givonne road to reach the junction at the start of the walk which leads to the Weimar stele.
Step 11: Route Information
Arrive at the Weimar stele, turn right and return to the parking lot of the African Hunters Memorial.
