Description

This circuit allows you to discover the villages of Buzancy and Fossé. It offers a great diversity of typical landscapes and leads to the chapel of Masmes, the highlight of the itinerary.
1/ From the campsite, leave the campsite behind and go left on the small road towards Bar les Buzancy.
2/ At the first crossroads at the entrance to Bar, turn right and cross the village. Then cross the D6 and continue straight on along a path.
3/ At the intersection, turn right, then enter a small wood.
4/ Turn slightly to the left and continue straight ahead to descend towards the village of Fossé.
5/ Enter Fossé by the rue du moulin, pass near the wash house. At the crossroads, turn right on route de Buzancy then directly left 30m later.
6/ At this intersection, turn left to make a detour and discover the chapel of Notre-Dame de Masmes. After passing the chapel, turn right to find the main path then left.
7/ At the Calvary at the top of the village of Buzancy, turn left at the hairpin bend. Continue through the housing estate, pass the lions at the gate of Château Chanzy and join the D947.
8/ Cross the D947, pass in front of the toll house and turn just to the left of the Napoleon obelisk onto Rue des Barrières. Then continue straight ahead on Rue des Barrières.
9/ Cross the D6 to enter the castle street, passing to the left of the entrance pavilion to the Château d'Augeard. Pass by the many pastures where horses roam and take the grassy path between the parks.
10/ Arriving at the foot of the Samaritaine pond, pass the wooden barrier and continue to the left of the lake on the grassy path to go around it and return to the campsite.
