Escapades sur les Crêtes n°20 – Le château des Loches (Mazerny – 6,3km)

Description
At the departure sign, go down “Grande Rue” then turn left onto “Rue du Ponceau” before turning right onto “Rue du Château”.
After 300m, turn right onto the “Route de Mainbu” and continue straight ahead to exit the village.
Arriving in the Bois des Loches, cross the “Gaupuy” stream and follow the path winding through the forest.
Beware of the wet ruts which are very common on this section in bad weather.
After 1km, join the forest road and turn right towards Domaine des Loches.
Then continue straight on for 1,6 km during which you will pass this magnificent building (marker 9/15).
Turn right (marker 10/15) then follow the path to pass between two ponds fed by the “Saint-Lambert” stream.
You then have 1,8 km left to travel to reach your starting point.
At the “Le Priolet” crossroads, turn right towards Mazerny then right one last time (marker 15/15) at the intersection to go up “Rue grande”.
