Circuit Du Seigneur de Croy

This short circuit allows you to discover the medieval castle of Montcornet in its rich and varied environment, the village of Montcornet and the wood of the Triage de Renwez. 

1/ From the church, go back up towards the village, leave a track on the right and reach a fork.
2/ Take the path to the right for 300m, then head and arrive at an intersection.
3/ Continue straight for 150 m, then turn left (observation of pudding stones, geological curiosities) and travel 400 m.
4/ Go left, cross the clearing, turn left, walk along the sports field and continue. Continue to descend for 50 m.
5/ Turn right onto Chemin des Mélèzes, then turn left and join the D 22.
6/ Follow the D 22 for 30 m, cross the road to reach the Calvary and take the path laid out by the municipality. It zigzags through the woods, along the edge, crosses the valley (viewpoints of the Montcornet castle and the Sormonne valley), descends to the small Sainte-Madelaine chapel surrounded by the cemetery, before going back up to the village.
