The War and Peace Museum in the Ardennes (Novion-Porcien) is a central and essential place in the Remembrance Tourism in the Ardennes. It is also an excellent starting point towards the high places of the three wars that rocked the Ardennes from 1870 to 1945. Capitulation of Napoleon III at Sedan on September 2, 1870, death of the last soldier Augustin Trébuchon on November 11, 1918 at Vrigne-Meuse, breakthrough of the Maginot line in 1940… These events are the best known part of history. But nearly 70 remarkable sites are listed in the department between private collections, cemeteries and military cemeteries or even emblematic sites.
