Year of obtaining the 1st Flower: 2009

Attigny is a village of 1200 inhabitants called Attignaciens.
It is located 40km from Charleville-Mézières, 18km from Rethel and 14km from Vouziers, and depends on the Community of Communes of the Crêtes Préardennaises.
The main rivers crossing the village are the Aisne and the Canal des Ardennes.

Features:
André DHOTEL, writer and screenwriter, was born in Attigny on September 1, 1900, he lived there until the age of 6.
Louis DOYEN, painter, was Grand Prix de Rome.
Charlemagne, baptized Wittikind and Albion, 2 Saxon leaders, in Attigny.
Attigny was the residence of the first kings of France.

To see in passing:
Notre-Dame Church, classified as a Historic Monument, it has a partly Romanesque tower and the rest of the building dates from the 16th and 17th centuries.
The kiosk dating from the beginning of the 20th century.
