Short walks without elevation gain or long-distance circuits that are a little more sporty? You have the choice in the Ardennes where the network of small roads is very well developed without suffering from too much traffic. Better still, you can count on several marked trails, accessible as a family by hybrid bike or electric bike.
Stroll along the Semoy with the Transemoysienne
From Monthermé to the Belgian border, follow the Semoy for about twenty kilometres. Built on the old railway line, this cycle path offers a discovery route with information panels and stops at different viewpoints over the very beautiful Semoy valley.
Discovering metallurgy along the Ennemane
To the south of Sedan, starting from Raucourt-et-Flaba, join the Ennemane river which you will then follow for 9 km, taking the old converted railway line which served the metallurgy companies. Signage tells the story of the place.
La Cacasse, for a long-distance cross-border circuit
La Cacasse is a real ecotourism experience by offering to discover a large territory by bike. This 156 km unmarked cross-border route starts from Rocroi towards Chimay in Belgium for a return via the Ardennes Thiérache. On the program: abbeys, lakes and fortified churches.
Argonne by bike, circuit of the lake of Vieilles Forges, Pays Sedanais, Crêtes Préardennaises… Many other circuits are to be discovered throughout the Ardennes. Go to the Tourist Offices.
