Escapades sur les Crêtes n°58 – Eau et forêt à Signy l'Abbaye (Signy-L'Abbaye – 6,3km)

Starting from La Vénerie, this trail number 58 takes you to the Héronnière pond. You can take a break by the water and admire this former monastic site, which was developed for the enjoyment of walkers seeking fresh air.
At the departure sign, head left.
After 300m, at the “La Vénerie” crossroads, turn left onto the “Route Forestière des Quatre Frères” towards the Héronnière pond.
When you arrive at this picturesque site, the Héronnière pond, turn right to follow the “Route Forestière de la Héronnière”.
After 1,7 km, follow this path, taking the “Route forestière de la Fontaine aux Aulx” on the right, then turn right again 520m further on to take the “Route Forestière de la Vierge”.
Continue straight for 970m until you reach the Saint-Hubert forest house.
At this point, turn left and follow the “Route Forestière de la Voie des Vaches”.
At the bottom of this road, turn right (marker 10/11) onto the communal path and climb the hill to reach a viewpoint over the village of Librecy.
Before the bench, turn right to go through the undergrowth.
Staying on the edge of the forest, return to your starting point by passing near the site of La Vénerie.
