Description

At the start of trail 39, discover the Church of Our Lady of Good Help in the small village of Neuvizy. This replica of Notre Dame de Paris was built to accommodate the growing number of pilgrims who came to observe the miracles said to have taken place in the Neuvizy Woods. Walk the Marian path yourself, guided by the statues of Florence Enders placed along the trail.
At the departure sign located near the church, go down “Rue de l'église” then pass near the village square.
At the bottom of the descent, turn right then a few meters further on turn right again to follow the path for 850m going back up to the Crêtes departmental road.
Then take this road on the right to the Neuvizy woods, “Bois de la Vierge”.
Away from the village, a path enters the forest.
At the edge of it, a large wooden cross invites you to take it.
All along the route you can admire the sculptures created by Florence Enders which mark the path.
When you reach the monument representing the eight children in front of the oak tree of the apparition, turn around and head back to the village of Neuvizy.
At the first houses, turn left onto “Rue Simon” to reach the back of the church and return to your starting point.
