Brouillard blanc, le Jardin de la Paix tchèque et slovaque
Created in 2022 in conjunction with the Czech Republic and Slovakia, it adjoins the necropolis and honors the memory of the soldiers who fell during the Great War.
Designed as a immersive walk, it immerses the visitor in the heart of a birch grove.
The 282 trees planted make tribute to fallen soldiers.
The profusion of trunks and branches creates a white mist reminiscent of
the feeling of fog that reigned over the battlefield and the blindness caused by the poison gas.
At the edge of the grove, bordered by massive lime trees, the density of the birches diminishes and the walker discovers the landscape.
