Village de Charnois

From ancient times, we discover the Saint-Rémi church which dates from 1750 or even the fountain from 1864, dedicated to Saint-Quirin. The building recalls the martyrdom of the Roman officer who converted to Christianity and whose body was thrown into a lake.

"The waters of this lake had therapeutic properties... like the village fountain, which, combined with a plant, also had medicinal properties for the skin.
It was from these observations that the fate of this man became linked to the fountain, which was restored in blue stone thanks to patrons from Charnois.
