Musée Verlaine
Open from 01/04 to 31/10: Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 14 p.m. to 18 p.m., Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 14 p.m. to 18 p.m. – Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 14 p.m. to 18 p.m.
Located opposite the house that Verlaine rented, not far from his farm, the Auberge has now become the Verlaine Museum. In this “lodge on foot and on horseback”, the furniture has not moved, time has stood still and the soul has remained intact.
Much more than a simple evocation of the poet, the scenography of this place extends over 1500m². It will make you revisit his life and his work thanks to a unique iconographic collection, a quality guided tour, provision of the complete work (prose, poetry and correspondence) and, of course, thanks to this unique atmosphere that one feels as soon as one crosses the threshold.
After your visit, you will still have to discover the 1000m² of old garden, the temporary exhibitions and the bistro.
