Listed as a historical monument.
When the Manufacture royale du Dijonval was created in 1646, Sedan, newly attached to France, became the first center for the manufacture of fine linen "processed in the Dutch way". Dijonval was for more than 300 years an industrial workplace where thousands of men and women succeeded one another who made the grandeur and fame of Sedan textiles. The buildings that still exist today, which look more like a palace than a factory, are a superb example of XNUMXth century architecture. Only the facade and the inner courtyard can be seen.

More information in the brochure “Let yourself be told about Sedan”. A guide to Dijonval, Heritage Routes collection, is on sale at the Tourist Office.
