Église Saint Léger

Visits possible on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 15 p.m. to 18 p.m. in July and August
Do not hesitate to come and discover the very rich baraquin heritage! Dominating Old Monthermé, the fortified church of Monthermé was built in the XNUMXth century and restored in the XNUMXth. It has several remarkable interests, in particular the baptismal font (probably coming from the abbey of Laval-Dieu), the pulpit, the Mosan-style portal and many superb wall frescoes dating from the XNUMXth century. The woodwork of the recently renovated chancel has regained its original colors. They highlight the beautiful XNUMXth century marble altar in which the imposing lectern (eagle) has found its place.
