Eglise Saint-Laurent

Superb and original religious site. Inside the church, architectural elements from the early Gothic period can be dated between 1175 and 1220. Note the absence of side aisles, the narrowness of the nave, the elegance of the Gothic heart, its swimming pool in a niche (for washing the sacred vessels and preparing bread and wine for the Eucharist), the reliquary and the chapel of Saint Laurent. The church, fortified around 1584, has attics converted into a refuge, which can be accessed by the tower located to the north, numerous gunboats have been drilled into the walls, bretèches, supported by trios of consoles, complete the device . The round tower, protecting the northern transept, dates from 1480, it is one of the oldest defense towers in our region. Finally, note the beautiful modillion cornices.
