Ancienne Filature Ternaux
Buildings visible from the outside, private property
The Ternaux spinning mill, created at the beginning of the 19th century, supplied the Sedan cloth factory. Located on a former metallurgical site, it moved to Montagnac in 1858. Production stopped in Lamécourt in 1952-1953 with its transfer to Sedan. Currently, the buildings house a timber merchant.
The building, mainly from the 19th century, includes two limestone rubble naves with reinforced concrete sheds, two brick extensions with wooden roofs, an engine room with a skylight, the remains of a chimney and a retention basin still visible. A building at the south-east corner could come from the initial ironworks.
