Ancienne blanchisserie industrielle
An industrial laundry whose date of establishment and name are unknown occupied the site in the first half of the 20th century. It was taken over in 1961 by the company IMF (Industrie Métallurgique Française) specializing in bolts, large diameter screws and special bolts produced by turning, die-stamping or forging. In 1971, this company expanded the factory by adding new workshops and offices. IMF currently has 16 employees.
The old two-bay building on the Rue Jules Lobet side is built of brick with long-span roofs with exposed metal frames covered with mechanical tiles and corrugated iron. A house, probably the employer's accommodation, is grafted onto the centre of the façade on the Rue Sorbat side; it has a square floor topped with a long-span roof with exposed wooden frames and mechanical tiles. The buildings built in 1971 have walls made of iron panels laid with concrete blocks, long-span roofs with metal frames covered with asbestos cement.
