Ancienne fonderie Brisville

Private property, buildings visible from the outside
Around 1907, Jules Brisville, a watchmaker from Seine-et-Oise, founded a foundry in Nouzon. His sons Maurice, Pierre, Jacques, and Guy later joined him. The activity ceased in the 1970s, and part of the original buildings were destroyed.

The remaining workshops include three naves perpendicular to the street, built in schist rubble with long-span roofs and skylights in mechanical tiles, as well as a span in iron paneling with bricks. The historic entrance to the factory, below Rue Fuzelier, faced the offices, now converted into housing. Opposite, the brick electrical transformer bears witness to a later construction. Part of the site is now used as a machine shop.
