Ancienne brasserie des Ardennes

The buildings, built at the beginning of the 17th century near the Place Ducale, were converted into a brewery at the beginning of the 20th century by Henri Masse, master brewer until 1936. At that time, the company hosted a beer depot from the Coq Ardennais brewery. A workshop was added in the courtyard at the beginning of the 20th century. The activity seems to have been limited to a depot from the 1960s, and the site has now been converted into housing.

Four buildings surround a square courtyard accessible by a porch under the manor house. The latter, on the street side, combines cut stone and brick, while the courtyard facade is made of limestone rubble. The old offices and workshop, built in rubble, have wooden frames covered with slate. The brewery includes three large cellars, and a small half-timbered and brick building, added later, adjoins the north wall.
