Site honoring soldiers who fell in battle
Located in the commune of Noyers-Pont-Maugis, the national cemetery of "La Marfée" brings together the remains of soldiers who died for France during the Battle of the Bulge in August 1914 and during the final offensive movement of 1918 towards the Meuse. Created in the aftermath of the fighting, the cemetery was redeveloped in 1920, then brought together other bodies of soldiers buried in the Sedan sector. This necropolis now contains 1 bodies, including 723 in an ossuary and some foreigners (British, Romanian, etc.). It adjoins a German cemetery created in 1 and comprising 202 graves of German soldiers from 1922-14 and 055 from 1914-1918.
