Nestled in the hollow of two remarkable geological sites: the hill of Quatre Fils Aymon – which proudly raises its spurs of Cambrian quartzites which gave rise to the famous Carolingian legend – and the Hermitage viewpoint – known for its Devonian puddingstone -, the The Ardennes Minerals, Rocks and Fossils Exhibition Center reveals all the interest and beauty of Ardennes geology in its nine rooms.
It was in June 1990, thanks to a handful of members of the Mineralogical and Paleontological Association of Bogny-sur-Meuse (AMPB), that the City of Bogny and the Ardennes, land of geology which has always attracted researchers and whose several towns have served as a reference for levels such as the Revinien, the Devillien or the Givetien, have been endowed with this Museum located along the road linking Charleville-Mézières to Givet.
