Closed Mondays, January 1, May 1 and December 25.

The Ardennes Museum is sure to offer a unique journey through time for young and old alike! A history where, since time immemorial, wood, slate, and iron have been exploited. A visit to the Ardennes Museum is essential to understanding the magnificent ducal square of Charleville and, more broadly, the founding and development of the ideal city envisioned by Charles de Gonzague, Duke of Nevers and Prince of Arches in the 17th century. Many artists from the Ardennes, such as Eugène Damas (1844-1899), also captured the beauty of the landscapes and the timeless rural life. Throughout the year, the Ardennes Museum also features a permanent puppet exhibition as well as temporary exhibitions.
