Nécropole allemande de la Marfée

The German military cemetery contains 14 graves of soldiers from the First World War and 055 from the Second World War.
General Gunther Schwarzkopff “King” of the Stuka (dive fighter plane) is buried there.
In this imposing, perfectly maintained necropolis, the visitor can discover a chapel with a copper roof - with inside the statue of a crying woman.
A little further on, a granite cross 11 meters high facing east at the request of the German authorities.

The national cemetery of "La Marfée" brings together the remains of soldiers who died for France during the Battle of the Bulge in August 1914 and during the final offensive movement of 1918 towards the Meuse. Created in the aftermath of the fighting, the cemetery was redeveloped in 1920, then brought together other bodies of soldiers buried in the Sedan sector. This necropolis now contains 1 bodies, including 723 in ossuaries and some foreigners (British, Romanian, etc.).
