La Chapelle de Falaise was built between 1917 and 1918 by soldiers of the 236th German reserve infantry, on the edge of a military cemetery. In the years 1920-1930, the bodies of these soldiers were transferred to the cemetery of Chestres. It was restored from 2009 thanks to the help of Franco-German volunteers, to be completed in 2014 during the first commemorations of the Centenary.
