Dolmen de la Ganguille

A dolmen is a prehistoric megalithic construction consisting of one or more large slabs of cover (tables) placed on vertical stones which serve as its feet (orthostats). Everything was originally covered, maintained and protected by a pile of stones and earth called a tumulus. Dolmens are generally interpreted as chamber tombs, funerary monuments that housed collective burials.
Dates to around 2000 BC. It is about 5 mothers long, three sandstone slabs weighing up to 10 tons cover two chambers and are supported by paired stone walls. An adventitious Gallic burial was subsequently placed on its outer side.
