Ancienne usine d'emboutissage et de traitement de surface des métaux

Buildings visible from the outside
In September 1900, the Société de Galvanisation Automatique, based in Paris, brought together the Mouzon forges, specializing in the production of sheet metal, with the Nouzonville hot-dip galvanizing plant, in a process of industrial integration. Henri Ollivet (1855-1931) was at the origin of the first establishment, while Nicolas Capitaine-Jacquemart (1853-1914) founded the second. The current buildings, built in 1911 as indicated by the date inscribed on the conciergerie, have now been converted into an industrial warehouse housing two companies.

The manufacturing workshops, located between the railway line and the banks of the Meuse, extend over six long-span bays, with a skylight on the second bay to the south. Their structure combines reinforced concrete and brick infill, and the roof is made of mechanical tiles. Further west, another brick workshop, composed of three bays, is set back, while the offices are installed to the north. The facade still retains the inscription of the company name, and the concierge's lodge still displays the date of 1911.
