Ancienne usine de transformation des métaux

Visible from the outside
In 1835, Camion-Richard built a factory in Vrigne-aux-Bois, including a refinery, a forge and a rolling mill, powered by three water wheels on the Jacquemotte pond. The retention basin and the sluice system still exist. Today, the premises are shared between the Aplitec factory, specializing in metal processing, and a roofing craftsman.

The complex includes buildings from the early 1950th century, with a manufacturing workshop on seven bays in sheds covered with tiles and glass, and a dwelling house with a slate roof. The supporting structures are metal with cast iron posts. Later, extensions were added, notably in the interwar period or the XNUMXs, with a building for a turbine and an extension to the south. The old buildings are made of limestone rubble, while the extensions are made of iron and concrete. A hydraulic turbine is still present on the site to the east.
