Ancienne usine de transformation des métaux
Private property, buildings visible from the outside
The Beguin company, active before 1955, gave way to the Établissements Gafteaux, originally from Deville. The majority of the buildings date back to the 1930s. In 1979, the company became Mécatol, specializing in sheet metal work, mechanical welding and general mechanics, with an expansion of the workshops. In 2005, the employees took over management under the name Mécatol Industries, producing metal elements for construction (doors, beams, fences).
The site, measuring 1394 m² (including 1200 m² covered), comprises to the north four two-bay naves with shed roofs and partially rendered rubble walls, pierced with continuous bays (1930s), as well as a workshop with metal cladding and concrete blocks added in the 1970s. The roofs are made of mechanical tiles.
