Ancienne usine de fabrication des métaux dite forge de la Halle

Currently private residence
The forges and furnaces of Givonne, dating from the 16th century, were the main installations of the Principality of Sedan, operated by the Goffin d'Haraucourt and then Lembermont families. During the Revolution, they included two refinery fires, two hammers and a martinet. In the 19th century, they passed into the hands of Thomas, Lamotte-Pirotte, then Desrousseaux-Noizet. Today, only the store, the accommodation and a coal hall from the beginning of the 19th century remain. The buildings that have disappeared include the forge, the blast furnace hall (1837), and the workshops, with the exception of the dike. The building is made of limestone rubble with cut stone frames, while the exposed wooden framework characterizes the coal hall.
