Presentation of the workshop
A former pharmacy technician, Estelle PASTA converted to felt after 3 years of parental leave.
It was during this period that what would become a true passion was born in her, the day when someone brought her some carded wool and a felting needle to try...
Feltmaker since 2005, Estelle has followed many training courses with feltmakers recognized worldwide and from different countries such as, among others, Marjolein Dallinga, former Cirque du Soleil costume designer.
The productions of the workshopFor the realization of her unique pieces in wool felt, Estelle PASTA creates her own material, her own fabric, all without cutting or seams.
Felt, entirely handmade, is a natural material, non-woven and obtained from wool fibers rubbed manually with soapy water, the latter become entangled thanks to the movement.
She can integrate fabrics (silk, cotton, lace, etc.), fleeces from other animals (mohair or cashmere goat, angora rabbit, alpaca, etc.) into this felt, as well as different fibers (silk, hemp, corn, etc.). All shapes are thus achievable.
Estelle PASTA invents, creates, manufactures hats, dresses, jackets, coats, slippers, straight out of her imagination.
