Country and peasant house of the XNUMXth century, it is inseparable from the heritage of the Crêtes and Évigny.
You will discover what peasant life was like in the countryside but also a temporary exhibition on Les Femmes Remarquables des Ardennes.
On the ground floor:
Discover, in the main room, a typical interior with everyday objects, a mannequin in period dress.
Embroidery and tools of peasant life.
Before going upstairs, the clogmaker's workshop presents the tools and a collection of old clogs.
The oven :
The old bread oven is lit on Sundays when the association opens its doors, to bake old-fashioned breads and cakes.
Reservation of bread in advance by telephone.
Upstairs, a bedroom with traditional clothes, a period bed and sewing tools.
Temporary exhibition “portrait of remarkable women from the Ardennes, 1875 – 1975”: 17 journeys of women, born or having worked in the Ardennes, resistance fighters, business leaders, artists or involved in politics are highlighted. It was initiated by the Ardennes Tourist Development Agency which carried it out with Terres Ardennaises and the support of the ONACVG and the DDDFE.
