Eglise de Saint Aignan

Closed to the public
The Saint-Aignan church, located to the north of the village, dates from the end of the 1868th century. The nave, largely rebuilt and vaulted in 1690, has a sundial dated 1865 on its southern side. Monumental paintings were discovered there in XNUMX.

With an elongated plan, the church comprises a single-aisled nave with two bays, preceded by a massive bell tower, a rectangular choir, and a sacristy adjoining the south. Built in limestone, the interior is rendered and painted. The floor of the choir is paved with black and red marble, while the rest is in limestone slabs. The walls have semicircular bays, with an oculus at the chevet.

The bell tower, with a semicircular door decorated with small columns, is covered with a gable roof, while the nave and the choir are topped with long-span roofs. The entire building is covered with slate.
