Built from 1932 to 1934, this structure made it possible to connect by track Reims, Sedan and Metz.
It was part of a group intended to supply the Maginot linePartially destroyed by the French in June 1940, it was repaired by the Germans in 1941; the rails were finally dismantled in 1943 and sent to the Eastern Front.
Access: Between Grandpré and Varennes-en-Argonne on the D 946, take the direction of Exermont. Once in the village, take the first left. You cross a farmyard before reaching a valley. Continue on your route for 1 km before arriving at the structure. It is forbidden to access the upper part of the viaduct. It is not used today, but for the most daring among you, the association Elastic Adrenaline invites you to live the experience of Bungee jumping from the viaduct! So, are you jumping?
