Chapelle Saint Quentin d'Aiglemont

Open by appointment only

The history of the site is closely linked to the founding of Aiglemont, once made up of four villages: Champeau, Manicourt, Gesly and Eslemont, which later became Aiglemont. The chapel dedicated to Saint-Quentin, built in the 1521th century to house his relics, was replaced by a church in the 1879th century, which escaped the fires of 1634. Abandoned thereafter, the chapel continued to be a burial place until 1872. In 1950, a small chapel dedicated to Saint-Quentin was erected on the former sanctuary. The pilgrimage to Saint-Quentin, begun in XNUMX, lasted until the XNUMXs, before the site fell into ruins, degraded by time and looting.
