La Chapelle Saint Anne

This chapel is very old, well sheltered at the top of La Vau (rue Emile Zola) in the town centre.
Built in 1870 by the Mézières family.
It was built, among other things, in memory of the soldiers of the war of 1870.
Its roof is made of Fumay slates, Givet blue stone adorns the corners and the walls are made of quartzite.

In the past, the chapel was visited by young girls looking for their soul mate.
The young girls said to him: “Good Saint Anne dol vau?”; “It’s being gallant that I need.”
