Église Notre Dame de Wadelincourt

The Notre-Dame church, located in the north-east of the village, has a Latin cross plan. The choir and transept date from the 1520s, while the nave, initially partial and built in the 17th century, was completely rebuilt between 1869 and 1898. The work, first directed by the architect Henry Couty, then by A. Quinet, was interrupted by the war of 1870.

The church is made of limestone rubble with cut stone elements. The three-aisled nave is preceded by a bell tower with an external staircase. The projecting transept leads to a choir with a straight bay and a three-sided apse, with a sacristy in the south corner. The interior walls, rendered, are pierced with pointed arch bays with flamboyant tracery. The whole is vaulted with ribs, with pointed arch arcades.

The floor combines geometric patterned tiles and terracotta tiles. The slate roofing varies according to the parts: long-span roofs, polygonal hips for the apse, and polygonal spire for the bell tower.
