Vestiges Gallo-Romains
The Gallo-Roman remains of Ville-sur-Lumes are mainly located at the place called "Les Sarteaux", to the east of the village center, also extending into the neighboring commune of Saint-Laurent. This archaeological site corresponds to a vicus, a secondary agglomeration of the Gallo-Roman period, organized around a fanum, a temple of Celtic tradition.
The excavations carried out revealed structures linked to the capture and evacuation of water, testifying to the ingenuity of the hydraulic systems of the time.
