Maison Forte n°12 d'Olly
A few hundred meters away stands Fortified House No. 12, known as MF12-Olly, built in 1938 in the commune of Illy by civilian companies under military supervision. Attached to the same fortified sector of Montmédy, sub-sector of Sedan, Frénois district, it belongs to the same defensive system and is manned by the same elements of the 15th Company of the 147th RIF (Fortress Infantry Regiment).
Its armament is slightly different: it has one embrasure for an anti-tank gun or FM, four embrasures for FM, two firing embrasures and two grenade chutes.
Unlike its neighbor, the MF12 has survived the decades without too much apparent damage: it has been converted into a dwelling house and remains standing today, although in an incomplete state.
