Église Saint-Pierre et Saint-Paul

The village church of Haybes is located in the northern part of the village, not far from the banks of the Meuse.
The old church was destroyed during the tragic days that the village experienced in August 1914.
The present church dates from the beginning of the 1927th century and was inaugurated in XNUMX.
The plans were given by the architect Lemasson and the work was carried out by Gustave Despas.
It has a Latin cross plan and is built of Haybes arkose rubble.
Only the chains of angles, the cornices and the openings are in limestone.

The building is dedicated to Saint-Pierre and Saint-Paul, whose two colossal statues can be discovered at the crossroads of the transept.
They could come from the old church of 1885.

Please note:
Building open to the public only during religious services.
