Every day, every hour from 10 a.m. to 21 p.m.
The 12 paintings, Saturday at 21:15 p.m.
The 10m high automaton comes to life every hour in the heart of the city, near Place Ducale and the Pôle International de la Marionnette – Jacques Felix.
An automaton installed on Place Winston Churchill, between the Pôle International de la Marionnette and the Musée de l'Ardenne, the Grand Marionnettiste is a permanent attraction in the city. This 10-metre-high giant, the work of Jacques Monestier, presents the Ardennes legend of the four Aymon sons in twelve scenes every day from 10 a.m. to 21 p.m. Every Saturday at 21:15 p.m., all the scenes that make up the legend are presented to the public. A visit to the Musée de l'Ardenne gives a glimpse behind the scenes of this automaton and the names of the donors are engraved on large plaques affixed to the automaton.
