Pôle International de la Marionnette – Jacques Félix / Centre de Documentation et des Collections
Open to all from Monday to Friday, 13 p.m. to 17 p.m.
The International Puppet Centre was born on January 1, 2025 from the merger of two emblematic associations of the puppet arts – Les Petits Comédiens de Chiffons, organising the famous World Festival of Puppet Theatres for more than 50 years, and the International Institute of Puppetry which includes the National Higher School of Puppetry Arts.
The Centre houses a Documentation and Collections Centre, located on Place Winston Churchill, which boasts the largest specialized, multimedia, and multilingual collection on puppetry arts in Europe, with nearly 12,000 books, 3000 videos, and many other documents. Something to delight anyone interested in this art form.
It also has a collection of 1500 puppets made available for exhibitions in partner organizations.
The documentation center is open to both specialists for research and to curious individuals.
It has a online catalog where the majority of its resources are located.
Resources to consult on site or online through the Puppet Arts Portal (PAM), a constantly expanding digital library accessible to everyone.
