Stage rando, onguents et pommades

One-day course at the Abbey of Laval Dieu (Monthermé) – Let's discover the paths, the apothecary and the soothing gardens of a small Ardennes monastery, without forgetting to harvest the good herbs to transform into perfumed ointments! You will discover the traditional processes of maceration of plants in vegetable oil and the emulsion which makes it possible to obtain an ointment with a soft and creamy texture.
Everyone will leave with their own ointment!
The 14 km hike (intermediate level) and the workshop will be led by Christophe Léonard, hiking/nature guide, and Céline d'Auria, herbalist, author and director of the Ecole des Plantes in Orval.

Agenda: Sunday June 1st from 10 a.m. to 17 p.m.
Limited number of people: 12 people maximum
Internship location: Laval Dieu Abbey, rue Remacle Lissoir in Monthermé, in the French Ardennes (08).
Bring clothing suitable for the weather, walking shoes, a water bottle, a picnic lunch and, for the workshop, a small glass jar with a jam-type lid.
Possibility to book one or two nights nearby, at the Le Franco-Belge hotel.
