It is the highest point of view on the ideal city of Charles de Gonzague. Reflecting the architecture of the 1830s-1850s, it offers an exceptional view of the city of Charleville and beyond.
The only belfry in the Ardennes department, it is much more recent than those in northern France.
The panorama seen from the lookout post must be earned! One hundred and fifty steps separate the ground from this exclusive horizon. But when you are at the top... The perspective of the blue slate roofs of Place Ducale, which contrast with the green of the trees of Mount Olympus, will never leave you indifferent.
