Exposition : De la scène au musée

String puppets, rod puppets, puppets... More than 100 puppets from renowned puppeteers such as François Lazaro, Marcel Ledun, Jean-Pierre Lescot, Sylvie Osman, Massimo Schuster, Jean-Loup Temporal and Emilie Valentin are presented at the Ardennes Museum.

They constitute the collections of the future Maison du Puionettiste, which will be resolutely focused on the men and women who, for a long time, remained hidden behind their puppet theatres, and all those who, with them, participate in forging the world of the puppet-object. Drawing from all the arts, literature, sculpture, painting or poetry, the art of puppetry is indeed at the crossroads of creation. This spirit of the future establishment is reflected in the choices that have been made for the enrichment of the collections: it is therefore through the latest acquisitions that the visitor will be able to discover the mechanisms of construction of a collection and glimpse the beginnings of the house which, guardian of memory, will be dedicated to the actors of the world of puppetry.
